Abstract:
The article profiles Jeffrey Wigand, one of the back bones of the "60 Minutes" of CBS Broadcasting Inc. in the U.S. It states that one of the famous misfires on the program was the mishandling of the story of Wigand's attempt to take on Big Tobacco. Wigand had accordingly, worked in the tobacco industry for years. The author says that by 1995, he decided to speak out publicly against the entire industry, including his former employers and went back to "60 Minutes."
